Industrial production in Denmark declined a seasonally adjusted 2.4% month-on-month in March, registering the steepest fall in a decade, the Statistics Denmark said Wednesday. In February, industrial production was down 2.7%.

Sales of goods and services in industry fell a seasonally adjusted 0.6% in March, reflecting a 2.5% fall in domestic sales partly offset by a 0.1% rise in the export turnover.

New orders surged 48%, on a seasonally adjusted basis, with export orders climbing 63.3% and domestic orders rising 4.7% in March.
