Friday, the Statistics Denmark reported that the country's jobless rate rose to 2.9% from a revised 2.6% in February. Initially, the February rate was reported as 2.5%. Economists were looking for a rate of 2.7% for March.

The total number of unemployed in March were 82,100, rising from 71,500 in February.
