Easy Rider star Dennis Hopper has been released from a New York hospital after checking in with flu-like symptoms and being treated for dehydration, his manager said on Thursday.

Hopper, 73, checked into the hospital on Wednesday when he felt ill during a trip to New York.

He was treated for dehydration, and is now back in his hotel room and feeling much better, Hopper's manager, Sam Maydew, said in a statement.

Hopper starred and directed 1969 movie Easy Rider, and currently he appears in the television adaptation of the 2004 film Crash.
