Although it may seem like a loss to all the diehard New Jersey Nets fans out there, Deron Williams’ deal to play in Turkey isn’t that bad.

The Nets star, one of the brightest in the NBA, signed a contract to play for the Turkish professional basketball team Besiktas.

The season for European basketball begins Sept. 27.
