“Devious Maids” Season 4 Spoilers
After Spence (Grant Show) gets arrested for the murder of his ex, Rosie (Dania Ramirez) will try to prove his innocence. Lifetime

Our favorite girls will swap feather dusters for magnifying glasses in Season 4 of “Devious Maids” as they try to solve yet another murder mystery.

In Monday’s premiere episode of the hit Lifetime series, fans of the summer sudser witnessed a high-profile crime take place: The homicide of Peri Westmore (Mariana Klaveno). The actress was found dead — with her beloved America’s Choice trophy protruding from her neck — by her ex-husband Spencer (Grant Show). And due to Spence’s little outburst in episode one, Peri’s angry ex will become the prime suspect in episode 2, titled “Another One Wipes the Dust.”

In the promo video for the upcoming installment, it’s revealed that Spence will get arrested for the murder of his ex. And we have to admit, we can understand why the cops suspect him of foul play. In the premiere, Spence got physical with Peri when his memory returned and he figured out that she had been lying to him. His drunken stunt was captured on camera during their lavish party, giving officials a clear motive for why Spence could have killed his former wife. In addition, Spence was also drunk off of whiskey in the premiere, which will prevent him from remembering what exactly happened the night Peri was killed. How convenient...

Although the police suspect Spence of murdering his ex, Rosie (Dania Ramirez) doesn’t believe the love of her life could have done such a thing. So, in the upcoming installment, “Rosie will find herself involved in the aftermath of the murder,” according to the synopsis, hoping to prove Spence’s innocence. But to clear her husband’s name, she’ll have to talk to Spence’s shady sponsor if she wants to get some answers. “He’s dangerous!” Spence warns Rosie in the trailer for episode 2.

Spence’s sponsor isn’t the only one hiding a secret. In the forthcoming episode, Evelyn (Rebecca Wisocky) will learn that Adrian (Tom Irwin) is mobile.

“Oh my God, he can walk!” Evelyn says after uncovering footage of Daniela (Sol Rodriguez) seducing her allegedly paralyzed husband. Now she can leave Adrian, who lied about his health to keep his wife from divorcing him, and not feel bad about doing it. But leaving Adrian will result in the socialite “reaching a new low while trying to move on” — a low that involves catering.

Meanwhile, Marisol (Ana Ortiz) will make a “shocking discovery” about Genevieve (Susan Lucci), while Carmen (Roselyn Sanchez) begins to worry about her daughter, who begins dabbling in boys, drugs and erratic behavior.

“Devious Maids” airs Mondays at 9 p.m. EDT on Lifetime.
