Bachelorette
Are things really over between Desiree and Chris? In Touch

Did “The Bachelorette’s” Desiree Hartsock already call off her engagement to beau Chris Siegfried? That’s what In Touch magazine is claiming in their September 2 issue.

Across the cover of In Touch is a photo of the engaged reality show couple with a rip across the page separating them. “’Bachelorette’s’ Des and Chris OVER already!” the cover reads. “Desiree’s relationship with her second choice, Chris, falls apart as he realizes she never loved him – she just wanted a ring.”

The story comes as a surprise since Desiree moved to Seattle to be with her fiancé earlier this month. Documenting the big move on both their Twitter accounts, the couple has been happy to continue sharing their love story with fans post the tear-jerking “Bachelorette” finale. But an insider tells the magazine that Desiree’s move to Seattle “backfired.”

So, is the story of the split true? Desiree Hartsock took to her Twitter on Wednesday, Aug. 21 to shoot down the rumors.

And if Desiree’s response has anyone suspicious … then just check out Desiree and Chris’ Twitter and Instagram accounts. Since going public with their relationship the pair have kept busy, mainly discovering parts of Seattle, but also working on exciting new projects.

Just last week Desiree shared with her followers that she will have a blog up soon for brides-to-be. The website will provide “ideas, advice, stories, theme boards, designs, etc.” “#Bridalbliss,” Des tweeted.

As for her future husband, Chris has teamed up with fellow “Bachelorette” contestant Zack Kalter to publish his original poetry in a book called “Diamonds And Hearts: A Poetic Memoir.” The book, which is set to be released through all available options, even features additional poetry by Desiree.

And while the couple appear happy, some still have their doubts – including Desiree’s brother, Nate. GossipDavid.com reports that Nate doesn’t believe Desiree will be happy in Seattle.

“She’s a California girl at heart. She could come back in a year or several years from now,” Nate reportedly said. “But for sure, she’ll eventually return.”
