This season of VH1’s “Couples Therapy” got a little awkward when former “Teen Mom” turned porn star Farrah Abraham walked into the therapy house by herself. Abraham told Dr. Jennifer Berman that her “boyfriend,” DJ Brian Dawe, was supposed to meet her on the plane but then never showed up.

Many of the housemates seemed confused. After all, if they were a couple of any sort wouldn’t they have gotten on the plane together? Or wouldn’t Abraham have had some inkling he wasn’t going to show up sooner than just before she got on the plane? Many viewers didn’t buy it, and “Teen Mom 2” star Jenelle Evans certainly didn’t believe it either.

The troubled “16 and Pregnant” alum took to Twitter to vent about Abraham showing up to “Couples Therapy” solo instead of with someone else. "I'm not even going to watch #CouplesTherapy now that I found out Farrah staged it entirely once again," Evans tweeted on New Year’s Day. She added the hashtags "#TiskTisk” and “#FakeRelationship."

Evans isn’t alone in believing the relationship is a sham. Dawe himself told Starcasm that he was hired by the “Backdoor Teen Mom” star to appear on the show with her. He even shared the entire Q&A on his Facebook page. “I was approached by Farrah Abraham to be in a ‘pretend relationship’ with her so that she could be on a television show,” Dawe said. “Farrah got my number from my agent, who was also booking events and appearances for her.”

The DJ added he would have been paid a “substantial” sum if he agreed and though he hesitantly agreed at first, he couldn’t ultimately go through with it. He added that VH1 knew the relationship was a hoax, and wanted to give him double the amount of money when he told producers he couldn’t go through with the lie. “I was shocked that the network STILL wanted to produce a 'reality' show based on this ‘relationship,’” he said. “Even though I had told them it was a complete lie."

Dawe maintains that he and Abraham haven’t spoken since the show started to film. But he left with one last bit of wisdom: “Reality TV is about as far from reality you can get.”
