“Star Wars: The Last Jedi” star Mark Hamill recently remembered his late co-star, Carrie Fisher, in the most surprising way.

While speaking with The Guardian, Hamill revealed that he and Fisher used to make out on the set of their films. However, he also clarified that they never became a couple officially.

“Carrie and I were attracted to one another, but I knew from previous jobs that it would have been a bad idea to get involved with someone on set. But Carrie and I found pretexts. I remember one time – I’m sure alcohol was involved – we were talking about kissing techniques. I said, ‘Well, I think I’m a fairly good kisser. I like to let the women come to me rather than be aggressive.’ And she said, ‘What do you mean?’ Well, next thing you know we’re making out like teenagers,” he said.

After their “make out” session, Hamill and Fisher decided to stay good friends. The actor also said that he had no idea Fisher and Harrison Ford had an affair. He only found out about it after they finished “Star Wars.”

“Marcia Lucas, George Lucas’ then-wife told me after we finished filming. I’m glad I didn’t know before, as it probably would have affected me. By the time I found out, I just thought it was hilarious,” he said.

Fisher passed away on Dec. 27, 2016 due to sleep apnea. Almost a year after her demise, Hamill said that he still hasn’t gotten over the fact that his co-star is gone.

“It’s devastating. Gosh darn it. I still think of her in the present tense, you know? Whenever I was on set, I would go straight to her trailer with my dog and hang out with her and her dog,” he said.

In July, Hamill told Entertainment Tonight that Fisher’s sudden death has been difficult to accept. “She’s such an irreplaceable part of that legacy,” he said.

Fisher will still be seen in “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” as Princess Leia. After which, she will no longer be part of the upcoming films from the franchise.
