The latest development in Sean “Diddy” Comb’s arrest Monday just took a strange twist. The music mogul used a kettlebell -- a ball-shaped weight with a handle used for exercise -- as a “deadly weapon” during an altercation with his son’s football coach at The University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).

The campus issued the following statement:

“Shortly after 12:30 p.m. today, Sean Combs (also known as P. Diddy) was arrested at UCLA’s Acosta Athletic Training Complex on a charge of assault with a deadly weapon, which was a kettlebell. No one was seriously injured and UCPD is investigating. Combs is expected to be transported to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Inmate Reception Center later this evening.”

Coach Jim Mora also issued a statement:

“I’m thankful that our staff showed the level of professionalism that they did in handling this situation. This is an unfortunate incident for all parties involved. While UCPD continues to review this matter, we will let the legal process run its course and refrain from further comment at this time.”

Diddy, 45, has not issued a public statement. Instead, he promoted his fashion line Sean John and shared an inspiring quote. “The secret to success is consistency,” he wrote.

Some people commented that the entrepreneur’s temper might have cost his son his football career. “Honestly there goes your sons chance at playing for UCLA I have a feeling they're going to let him go now they don't want to deal with your f--king drama,” one person commented on his Instagram picture. “Well mother F--K UCLA if they kick him off the team! S--t he was just playing for sport anyway,” another added.

The music mogul became irate after Mora screamed at his son, Justin Combs, on the field. It’s unclear what Justin did or did not to do upset his coach. He plays defensive back for the team.
