Update: Diem Brown died on Friday, Nov. 14, at the age of 32 after a long battle with cancer. The reality-TV star announced in August that doctors found cancer in her stomach and colon. The cancer had spread to her liver and lymph nodes.

The original story follows below.

Diem Brown and Chris “CT” Tamburello are rumored to be headed back to MTV. The on-again, off-again couple will star as partners on “Battles of the Exes 2” as part of the the latest MTV “The Challenge” series next year, according to The Ashley’s Reality Roundup blog. The installment reportedly filmed in Panama over the summer.

Diem, 32, and CT, 34, who famously dated and broke up throughout several seasons of “The Challenge,” will reportedly compete together as one of the ex-couple teams on the show. But have they since rekindled their relationship?

Diem, who is now battling cancer for a third time, was filming the series overseas with CT in August when she “collapsed” onset. MTV producers reportedly thought she was having a reaction to the use of peanut butter in one of the competitions. She was airlifted to New York, where doctor's removing a tumor blocking her colon found more tumors. She has beat cancer twice before, having been diagnosed with ovarian cancer in 2006 and again in 2012.

While CT reportedly stayed in Panama after Diem returned to the U.S. for treatment, he rushed to her side when he learned of her deteriorating condition. CT was famously photographed holding Diem’s hand in the hospital in September.

Despite the pair entering the latest MTV “Challenge” series as exes (the duo also competed on "Battle of the Exes" in 2012) The Ashley’s Reality Roundup blog claims that the two have since rekindled their romance. “They are reportedly in a relationship and have been for some time,” the site claims.

While MTV hasn't confirmed “Battles of the Exes 2” will be the theme of this year’s “The Challenge,” it's rumored that the program will premiere in 2015 following “The Real World: Skeletons,” which is set to begin airing on the network Dec. 16.

Other couples rumored to be competing together on “Battle of the Exes 2” include various members of “The Real World” casts, including a large majority of the stars from “The Real World: Portland," and Season 1 contestants from MTV’s dating-experiment series, “Are You The One?”

The rest of the "Battle of the Exes 2" lineup is rumored to include the following partners:

Adam Kuhn and Brittany Baldassari (“Are You The One?”)

John Jacobs and Simone Kelly (“Are You The One?”)

Jay Goti and Jenna Campono (“Real World: Explosion”)

Thomas Buell and Hailey Chivers (“Real World Explosion”)

Ryan Knight and Jemmye Carroll (“Real World: New Orleans”)
