Since the New Year is only a few months away, Bandai Namco have released information regarding the downloadable content (DLC) for “Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4.” So far the company has announced three DLC packs, each one costing nearly $5.99 and a season pass coming that will give access to all of the DLC.

The descriptions of said DLC are pretty vague, as they don’t detail what the content is beyond descriptions like “costume” or “item set.” This is most likely to keep fans in suspense, so they can be surprised when the DLC is announced in the future with more details.

According to Siliconera, the first two DLC packs for “Ultimate Ninja Storm 4” will be “Scenario” packs. These are likely extra story chapters for the game’s campaign mode, which should please fans of the anime or manga. Both scenario packs come with a number of items, including alternate costumes, ninja cards and secret techniques.

Interestingly enough, Gematsu has confirmed that both scenarios will be three hours each. That’s a solid length for extra content, especially compared to most downloadable story chapters in games, like the side missions in “Batman: Arkham Knight.”

There will also be a new playable character pack, which will have four new characters in the game. Bandai Namco has not revealed who these four will be, though fans can assume it’s someone important from the series.

It should be noted that Boruto, the son of Naruto, was announced as a pre-order bonus for the game. His companion from the mini-series Sarada is also a special pre-order character, along with adult versions of Naruto and Sasuke.

“Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4” was originally scheduled for a fall release, but was delayed to Feb. 4 for Japan and Feb. 9 for North America and Europe. The game will be available on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC when it comes out.

This will be the first “Naruto” game to come for a current-gen console and will let fans experience the final arc of the popular anime and manga series. Fans of the series and characters probably shouldn’t miss this game.
