DMX may be used to explicit gangster rap lyrics, but it seems he is also pretty good at singing Christmas carols.
The rapper got into the holiday spirit a bit early as he did his own rendition of the Christmas classic, “Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer.”
DMX, whose real name is Earl Simmons, visited radio station Power 105.1 in September; somehow, he seemingly got into talking about the holidays with his interviewer, and agreed to sing famous Christmas song, which was caught on video.
The video shows the interviewer providing DMX with printed lyrics, but the rapper seemingly already had the song memorized and performed his rendition complete with rap gestures and creating beats by hanging his hangs on a table, according to XXL magazine.
In the same interview, he also revealed that he had never used Google.
A different video was released at that time of the rapper being provided a laptop in order to explore the Internet search engine. In that video dubbed “DMX vs. Computer,” the rapper humorously asked, “What the (sic) is a Google?”
DMX has been mostly out of the public eye for several years, safe for a number of run ins with the law, according the Huffington Post, including being arrested John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York after reportedly trying to steal one car and crashing another car through a gate in June 2004.
The rappers latest album, "Undisputed," released Sept. 11.
