NEW YORK, Feb 26 (Reuters) - The dollar rose against the euro on Friday after preliminary data showed the U.S. economy grew 5.9 percent in the fourth quarter, slightly higher than the government's first estimate.

The euro EUR= fell as low as $1.3547 against the dollar from $1.3566 before the data. It last traded at $1.3561, little changed on the day.

The dollar was also flat versus the yen at 89.11 yen.
