FXstreet.com (Barcelona) - The Dollar has ticked up against Euro and Pound as U.S. housing starts declined 10.6% in October, to an annual rate of 529,000 units, against market expectations of a 1.7% increase.

Furthermore, building permits, a gauge to assess the trend of construction activity for the coming months, have declined 4.0% in October, to an annual rate of 552,000 units.

EUR/USD dipped to 1.4935 from levels around 1.4950 before housing data was released, while the GBP/USD dropped from 1.6810 to 1.6990 although the pair soon returned to previous levels.
