Dollar hits session low versus yen, falls 1 percent
The dollar extended losses against the yen to trade 1 percent lower in late morning trade on Thursday as weaker-than-expected U.S. regional factory activity and jobless claims data boosted risk aversion.
The dollar hit as low as 90.51 yen JPY=, according to electronic trading platform EBS, and was last at 90.57, down 0.9 percent on the day.
