FXstreet.com (Barcelona) - Consumer Sentiment has deteriorated in October, against expectations, according to the mid-October consumer Sentiment Index. The Dollar has ticked up after consumer data.
Consumer sentiment index has declined to 69.4 in October from 73.5 in September, against market expectations of a reading around 73.5. The Current conditions sub-index has declined to 72.1 in October from 73.4 in September. The expectations sub-index has dropped to 67.6 in October from 73.5 in September.
The Dollar has ticked up slightly on tghhe back of consumer data, with the EUR/USD down from 1.4890 tpo 1.4865, while GBP/USD dipped from 1.6355 to 1.6330.
