The Avalon Hollywood hosted the Los Angeles Police Memorial Foundation Celebrity Poker Tournament last weekend, hosted by "Iron Man"star Don Cheadle to help the families of LAPD officers who have been injured or killed in the line of duty.

Cheadle was joined by former MLB plater Tommy Lasorda as well as MMA fighter Tito Ortiz and dancer Casper Smart.

The evening included red carpet arrivals, celebrity poker tournament, casino games, great food, cocktails, music, photobooth, raffles and auctions. Along with dozens of unique and priceless items in the auction, guests had the chance to win a two-seater ride with the legendary IndyCar champion Mario Andretti at the 2017 Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach with tickets, pit passes and stay at Renaissance Long Beach and a chance to spend the day with Ortiz in training as well as tickets to Bellator MMA Ortiz vs. Sonnen Fight at the Forum, a stay at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, tour of Jay Leno's private auto/motorcycle collection, LAPD airship ride, LAPD SWAT Training Day, Training at the Emergency Vehicle Operation Center to learn pursuit and pit maneuvers etc.

The world's largest online poker company, PokerStars has supported LAPMF since 2013.

"We are thankful PokerStars Helping Hands has joined us again this year," said Al Atkins, Executive Director. "Without their support, we may not be able to hold this event that is right now the sole fundraiser to assist LAPD families in their time of need."
