Donald Trump demeaned women contestants with sexist language on "The Apprentice" and rated them by the size of their breasts, the Associated Press (AP) reported, citing show insiders. The revelation comes amid several questions over the GOP nominee's insulting approach toward women.

More than 20 people — former crew members, editors and contestants — who were interviewed by the AP, spoke out about Trump's behind-the-scenes behavior during the long-running hit show. Randal Pinkett, who was winner of the show in December 2005, said that Trump talked about which female contestant he would like to have sex with, even though he had married former model Melania Knauss earlier that year.

"He was like 'Isn't she hot, check her out,' kind of gawking, something to the effect of 'I'd like to hit that,' " Pinkett said about Trump, who was the head of "The Apprentice."

Former crew members told AP that Trump made inappropriate comments about a camerawoman, saying that she had a nice rear. Nine former contestants or members of the crew spoke to the AP about their concerns about Trump's treatment of female colleagues.

"We were in the boardroom one time figuring out who to blame for the task, and he just stopped in the middle and pointed to someone and said, 'You'd f... her, wouldn't you? I'd f... her. C'mon, wouldn't you?'," one of the crew members, who did not want to be identified, reportedly said.

However, Trump's campaign issued a statement rejecting the claims.

"These outlandish, unsubstantiated, and totally false claims fabricated by publicity hungry, opportunistic, disgruntled former employees, have no merit whatsoever," Hope Hicks, Trump's campaign spokeswoman, said. "'The Apprentice' was one of the most successful prime-time television shows of all time and employed hundreds of people over many years, many of whom support Mr. Trump's candidacy."

Recently, the Republican presidential candidate came under fire after he posted a series of tweets calling former Miss Universe Alicia Machado “disgusting” and encouraging his followers to watch her alleged sex tape. Trump also targeted Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton in his tweets with links to Machado.
