"Dragon Ball Z: Extreme Butoden" is officially coming to the U.S. with publisher Bandai Namco on Tuesday announcing a release date of October 20 for the Nintendo 3DS game.

This comes as a surprise to fans with most games being announced during E3 2015, especially seeing as it has been on the Japanese market for a few weeks now.

“Bandai Namco is listening to fans and will keep on surprising them over the next few years," said Herve Hoerdt, vice president of Marketing & Digital at Bandai Namco Entertainment Europe. "In the meantime, everybody will enjoy a high-quality fighting game based on one of the most emblematic Anime & Manga ever created!”

The game is also going to be released in Europe, the Middle East and Oceania from October 16.

Players will have a number of their favorite Dragon Ball Z characters to choose from, with 20 playable characters like Goku, Vegeta and Piccolo, and 100 support characters making an appearance in the game.
