Square Enix game “Dragon Quest Heroes” will be coming to Sony’s PlayStation 4 in North America sometime during 2015, Sony announced on Wednesday. The game will be available via a digital download and a boxed retail release. It will reach Japan on Thursday.

“Dragon Quest Heroes” was first announced during the closing of the pre-Tokyo Game Show PlayStation press conference last fall. The game will also receive its own console, which will come with a Metal Slime USB cover. The eighth-generation device is silver and also comes with a decal of Metal Slime on the top portion of the console.

KOEI TECMO’s Omega Force team will be taking part in the creation of the game. Yuji Hori, 61, the director and creator of the original “Dragon Quest” game (1986) and Koichi Sugiyama, the series’ composer, will be closely involved in the development process.

The 1986 “Dragon Quest” game launched for iOS and Android in September of last year. The most recent main installment of the series was the Wii’s “Dragon Quest X” in August of 2012, the first massively multiplayer online game in the series.
