It looks like everything is good between Drake and Lil Wayne. The “Hotline Bling” rapper gave a sweet message to Wayne for his birthday.

In an Instagram post, Drake told Wayne: “Everything I got is because of god and you. Happy birthday to my brother. Thanks for believing in all of us when you didn’t have to. YM we still alive Free C5.”

The greeting comes after a snippet from Wayne’s upcoming memoir, titled “Gone ‘Til November,” was released. In the snippet, Wayne talked about how he was betrayed by Drake while he was incarcerated. The “Sucker For Pain” rapper said he was shocked to learn that Drake slept with his girlfriend at the time while he was locked up at Riker’s Island in New York.

Speaking of his then girlfriend Tammy Rivera, Wayne said: “Finding out that she f***ed Drake was the absolute worst thing I could have found out. Drizzy came to see me, he was like, ‘Yeah, it’s true.’ Damn! This is the type of s*** a man never wants to find out while he is locked up.”

The two have sorted things out since then and even went on tour together in 2014.

Drake detailed how he met Wayne for the first time in a story by Interview, where he said he was mentored by the rapper after he got a tape of his demo. After hearing what he has to offer, Wayne invited the former “Degrassi” actor to join the Houston leg of his tour.

Recalling the time they spent together, Drake said he believes Wayne saw him as someone who was “trying to be a good kid.” He also said that he knows Wayne is aware of how much he looks up to him.

The two have worked together since and have collaborated on a number of tracks, including “Only” with Nicki Minaj, “Believe Me” and “Ransom.”
