Drake's 2016 “Summer Sixteen” tour has been full of celebrity guest appearances, including LeBron James, Derrick Rose, T.I. and J. Cole. During a stop at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee, on Sunday, the crowd got to see another celebrity. This time, country music star Shania Twain was in attendance for Drizzy's show, and the “Controlla” rapper made sure to give her a shoutout.

“I grew up a fan. I just want to say that, like, Shania Twain came to my show tonight,” the rapper told the crowd before dedicating his next set to Twain. “So this next set, right here, I'm doing this for Shania. This is my love set for Shania, right here.”

After the show, Drake took to Instagram to post a photo of him and Shania and even called the singer his “woman crush Wednesday.” “My WCW even though it's Monday. Shania,” wrote Drake.

While the two stars may seem like an unlikely fans of each other, the artist's roots do connect. Drake and Twain are both from Canada with Drake hailing from Toronto and Twain from Windsor, Ontario.

As for Twain being in Nashville, the singer has been working on new music in Tennessee — a second home for Drake. The rapper's father, Dennis Graham, lives in Memphis, and Drake used to visit the city as a child. Drake's father and other family members were also in the crowd.

Drake has previously mentioned the city in his songs “Jumpman” and “Look What You've Done.” On the latter, Drake rapped, “And my father living in Memphis now he can't come this way / Over some minor charges and child support that just wasn't paid.”
