Energy-equipment manufacturer Dresser-Rand Group Inc said it requested the withdrawal of its application for a Regionally Significant Project with the Hornell Empire Zone, citing a strike at the company's Painted Post facility. The company, which makes compressors and turbines used in oil and gas production, said the application for the project required the company to add fifty new jobs and an investment of $2.5 million over a five-year period.
