You might think that it would be obvious if the world's largest tower were on fire, but the Gulf Twitter community is wondering just that.

Dubai residents are posting photos on Twitter that show what could either be smoke billowing from the record-setting 2,723-foot Burj Dubai skyscraper, or just fog being spun into a Blackberry story, as authorities are claiming.

Zaid Siwady wrote on Twitter that although he live[s] right in front of it, he can't see anything, but heard a lot of sirens.
