Dunkin' Donuts will mark National Donut Day by offering customers a free donut of their choice with the purchase of any beverage.

The offer limits one donut per customer and is available at participating Dunkin’ Donuts restaurants.

On National Donut Day, Dunkin' Donuts will announce the winner of its first-ever Create Dunkin's Next Donut contest. Nearly 130,000 entrants submitted their donut creations online of which one of 12 finalists will win a $12,000 grand prize and have their winning donuts sold in Dunkin' Donuts locations throughout the country, to vote visit

National Donut Day is tradition started more than 7 decades ago by the Chicago Salvation Army and is held on the first Friday of June each year.

The Massachusetts based company was founded in 1950 and has more than 8,800 restaurants in 31 countries.
