RTTNews - Thursday, the Netherlands Central Bureau of Statistics announced that the consumer price index or CPI rose 1.4% year-over-year in June, slower than the 1.6% increase in the previous month. Economists were looking for an increase of 1.5%. A year earlier, consumer prices had grown 2.6%.

On a monthly basis, the CPI dropped 0.3% in June, compared to the 0.1% increase in the preceding month. Economists had expected a decline of 0.4%.

The harmonized index of consumer prices or HICP rose 1.4% year-on-year in June, compared to the 1.5% growth in the previous month.
