RTTNews - Tuesday, a report by the Netherlands' Central Bureau of Statistics said retail sales volume dropped 2.7% year-on-year in April, slower than a revised 5.6% fall in March. This was mainly due to a drop in sales from petrol stations.

Retail sales volume from petrol stations dipped 15.3% in April after a 10.9% fall in March. Sales from non-food stores declined 5.8% after a 7.1% drop in March. However, sales at food and beverage stores were up 2.6% compared to a 6.5% drop in the previous month.

Meanwhile, retail trade turnover was down 2.6% in May, after a 5.3% decline in April.
