Thursday, a report by the Netherlands' Central Bureau of Statistics said business confidence increased 2.1 points to minus 20.8 in March from a record low of minus 22.9 in February.

In March, producers were more optimistic about expected production levels and the stock of goods than a month earlier. However, producers remained pessimistic about order levels. The order index declined to 101.4 in March from 102.2 in the previous month. Meanwhile, producers also remained pessimistic about future development of employment in industry.
