RTTNews - Thursday, the Netherlands' Central Bureau of Statistics announced that the consumer price index or CPI rose 0.3% year-on-year in August, faster than the 0.2% growth in the previous month. Economists' were looking for an increase of 0.4%. The consumer price inflation was 3.2% a year ago.

On a monthly basis, the CPI increased 0.3% in August, in line with economists' expectations.

The harmonized index of consumer prices or HICP dropped 0.1% on an annual basis in August, marking the same pace as in the previous month.
