RTTNews - Thursday, the Netherlands' Central Bureau of Statistics said the jobless rate increased to 4.6% in the March to May period from 4.1% recorded in the same period in a year ago. The jobless rate came in line with economists' expectations.

During the period, there were 358,000 unemployed persons, down from 360,000 in the three-month ended April.

On a seasonally adjusted basis, the number of unemployed persons totaled 348,000 in the three-month ended May, representing an increase of 8,000 from the previous three-months.
