Sony debuted, what it called, the PlayStation 3 Motion Controller at the E3 event earlier this year. Since then, the company has kept mum on what the product will actually be called, until now.

Speaking at the UBS 37th Annual Global Media Conference in New York on Wednesday, Electronic Art's CEO John Riccitello may have spilled the beans when he spoke about Sony and Microsoft's upcoming motion controllers.

In the coming year, both Sony and Microsoft have announced new controllers. Motion sensor controls, (Microsoft) Natal and Gem, these are likely to bring new consumers into the marketplace, Riccitello said, according to IGN.

However, Sony denies that Gem is the new products name and said in a statement that no official name for the PlayStation motion controller has been announced.
