With GamesCom 2015 coming next month, it seems EA has decided to hype "Battlefield: Hardline" by teasing new downloadable content (DLC), including a “sweet new game mode” called Robbery. This should be an interesting mode, as the main campaign in “Battlefield: Hardline” keeps players as the cops, so it should be fun for players who have always wanted to switch sides from the very beginning.

The new Robbery mode was teased by Thad Sasser, the lead designer for the multiplayer mode of “Battlefield: Hardline,” through Twitter. Robbery will join the other multiplayer modes already available in the game, including Team Deathmatch, Crosshair, Conquest, Blood Money, Rescue and Heist, adding more multiplayer variety to a first-person-shooter.

This new set of “Battlefield: Hardline” DLC follows the previous expansion pack called the “Criminal Activity Expansion.” GameSpot reports the coming DLC for the game will feature not only the aforementioned Robbery mode but will also introduce a bunch of new gear for players to use and add-ons that will supply even more entertainment for fans of the cops-and-robbers-style shooter.

All of the “Battlefield: Hardline” DLC can be acquired through the $50 Hardline Season Pass, which includes the previous DLC packs as well. Fans who purchase the season pass will automatically get access to the content before other players who haven’t purchased the pass and will be able to get all the new DLC packs of the game right away, along with other season pass exclusives.

GamesCom will take place in Cologne, Germany, and will run from Aug. 5 to 9. There EA Games and DICE will announce the new mode and the rest of the DLC for “Battlefield: Hardline.” While the game hasn’t impressed critics, it still has a number of fans, so advertising the game’s upcoming DLC is probably a smart move.

“Battlefield: Hardline” is available now for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. Fans can also purchase the season pass through the PlayStation Network, Xbox Live or Steam.
