The European Central Bank (ECB) released its monthly bulletin for February stating that leaving interest rates steady at a historic low of 1% was appropriate while activity in the euro zone will continue to expand during this year but at a moderate pace while the recovery will remain uneven.

Regarding inflation, they remain firmly anchored in the medium term inline with the central bank expectations while in March, the central bank will decide on continuing to exit the stimulus measures as they are not as important as they were in the past period especially since the euro zone expanded in the third quarter by 0.3 percent.
