FXstreet.com (Barcelona) - Jean Claude Trichet, President of the European Cebtral Bank has estimated positively the integration of the European Central Banks, which, is showing signs of rapid progress, as he stated in a conference at the European Parliament's Economic and Monetary Affairs Committee.

Speaking about the banking sector, Trichet reaffirmed his concern about the responsibility of the bCentral Banks in order to ensure orderly function in money markets as well as keep CPI expectations anchored in a context of financial turmoil, therefore, the ECB's president favours info exchange between Central Banks.

According to Trichet, the ECB considers necessary to create an institutional link between banking authorities and Central Banks, as, he stated, recent developments have underlined the lucidity of that idea.
