Economy Shows Signs Of Early Recovery- Says FM

RTTNews - The Indian economy is showing early signs of recovery, said Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee while replying to debate on Budget 2009-10, report media. He said that the government had to opt for borrowing more due to lack of private investments.

Mukherjee said that the production of cement rose 13.1% in June while the automobile sales grew 14.3% due to rise in demand for two-wheelers. He said that easy credit facilities also contributed to the rise in demand. He added that investment was required to bring the economy back on the growth path.
