Intro

IESE Business School has a proven track record of innovation. It was the first school in Europe to establish a two-year MBA and the first in the world to offer a bilingual MBA. Today, IESE has secured its position as a top business school globally, with campuses in Barcelona and Madrid, and pioneering activities in Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America and the United States.

Our mission is to transform business and society through management education and leadership development, creating a better world by growing better leaders: people with big aspirations and a spirit of service, equipped with the skills and capabilities to make a positive difference.

IESE and its general management MBA provide a cross-cultural learning environment: one that transforms inspires and impacts your future.

Learning Style

The first year of the MBA program is divided into three sections, each comprising 70 students. The sections are equal in all aspects, except one section will have classes in Spanish and English while the other two will have classes in English only. In the third semester of the first year, students have the option to change sections. This allows for integration of all students during the first year. During the second year of the program, students choose elective courses, thus interacting with all students.

During the Admissions Process interview, candidates will be able to speak to admissions representatives regarding their section preference. The Admissions Committee reserves the right to assign students to a specific section, although student preference will be largely taken into account.

Global Economics

The objective of this course is to provide a conceptual framework for understanding the international economy from a managerial point of view. Using different countries' economic policies, political and institutional analysis is developed conjointly with a study of economics. The case method is used to apply this knowledge. A series of cases analyzes the economic situation in various countries within the context of the international economy.

International Perspective

Each year, around 60 IESE MBA students are selected on a competitive basis to spend the first semester of the second year at one of the schools listed below. The chance to supplement our MBA program in Barcelona with a semester at a top business school in another country provides an additional challenge, as well as valuable academic and networking opportunities.
