Merging the strengths of two top business schools, the Berkeley-Columbia Executive MBA program attracts seasoned professionals who want to earn an MBA and gain access to the resources of two noted universities while sustaining career momentum. In 19 months students receive degrees from each school.
The Berkeley-Columbia Executive MBA program brings together faculties from two top-ranked business schools on both coasts. Students attend sessions approximately every three weeks. Classes meet 20 times in California, Thursday through Saturday. Classes meet 5 times in New York, Wednesday through Saturday. Instruction is divided equally between Berkeley and Columbia faculty members.
The core courses make up about 60 percent of the curriculum and are all taken in the first three terms. During the final two terms, electives and independent study build on the general management courses.
Faculty members use a variety of teaching methods. Case studies, seminars, simulations, guest speakers and group projects all facilitate the learning process. Classroom learning is enhanced by numerous opportunities to apply the lessons to real-world situations.
