Natural Gas in Spotlight

U.S. natural gas storage in the week ended Nov. 11 rose on a weekly and annual basis, according to latest data from the U.S. Energy Information Administration's weekly report.

Totalling 3,850 billion cubic feet, natural gas stocks rose by 0.36 percent, or 19 bcf, from the prior week and by 0.4 percent, or 14 bcf, from a year ago.

This total is 224 bcf above the 5-year average of 3,626 bcf.

All regions in the country reported an above average increase in stocks.

EIA reported a week ago that in the week ended Nov. 4, natural gas storage dropped slightly by 0.2 percent.
