‘Elder Scrolls Online’ At E3 2012: Inside Look At Questlines, Combat And More Found In The Franchise’s First MMO

Elder Scrolls Online was officially announced Thursday as the best MMO ever made, according to Bethesda Softworks, one of the game's co-developers along with Zenimax Online Studios.

The long-anticipated title will get a full write-up in the June issue of Game Informer, in which the way Elder Scrolls Online will bring the whole series together, from Skyrim to Elsweyr, and wrap the whol land of Tamriel into one expansive world.

The game will offer all the familiar features of previous Elder Scrolls titles -- from a wide variety of character types and quests to the large scale of the playing environment -- all inserted into one of the largest world ever created for a massively multiplayer online role-playing game.

Taking place a thousand years before the time of Skyrim, Elder Scrolls Online will allow players to explore the history of prince Molag Bal and his quest to drive Tamriel into darkness, according to Game Informer.

It will be extremely rewarding finally to unveil what we have been developing the last several years, Matt Firor, the game's director told the video game magazine. The entire team is committed to creating the best MMO ever made - and one that is worthy of The Elder Scrolls franchise.
