Elton John, working on a biopic of his eventful life

Crocodile Rock singer Elton John has revealed that he is currently working on a movie of his life, titled Rocketman.  The autobiographical feature will cover John's entire life, from his early upbringing to his current status as a worldwide superstar.  As a result of the films scale, several actors will be required to cover the various age ranges throughout his life.

John described the feature as a musical fantasy, and it will no doubt involve many of his enormous back-catalogue of hits.  The award-winning pianist is working on the script with Billy Elliott screenwriter, Larry Hall.

Born Reginald Kenneth Dwight in 1947, there have been many fascinating stages of John's life.  It will be interesting to see whether the production will feature details of his marriage to Renate Blauel in 1984 or his battle against drug and alcohol addictions.  It will also be of great interest to discover what actors will take on the intriguing role.  Let this writer start the speculation with Philip Seymour Hoffman for the latter part of the musician's life.
