Lucas/Roan (Oliver Jackson-Cohen) and Tip’s (Jordan Loughran) identities were revealed in NBC’s “Emerald City.” In episode 8, Glinda (Joely Richardson) ordered her husband, Roan, to kill Dorothy (Adria Arjona) so that his feelings for her vanish.

Meanwhile, the Wizard of Oz (Vincent D’Onofrio) arrived in the Kingdom of Ev in order to receive a supply of guns and bullets. These would then be then used to kill Glinda and her witches. Unfortunately, Langwidere/Lady Ev (Stefani Martini) ordered her men to point these guns at the Wizard.

What will happen next in “Emerald City”?

The official synopsis of Season 1, episode 9 states that an intense negotiation will take place between Lady Ev and the Wizard. However, the Wizard, whose real name is Frank, will try his best to persuade the fiery monarch to give him an ample supply of guns.

Elsewhere, Dorothy and Lucas will find themselves on the opposite sides of a war that is set to take place in Oz. He will try to assassinate the Kansas-born farm girl. Will he be successful? The promo of the upcoming episode shows Roan begging her to stop him from killing her. Did Glinda put a spell on her husband that would ensure that he kills her?

Meanwhile, Tip, who actually turned out to be King Pastoria’s daughter Uzma, will solidify her bond with West (Ana Ularu). Together, they will start a battle of their own against the Wizard. Tip/Princess Uzma is the rightful heir to the throne.

Interestingly, we will finally see Lady Ev’s real face. In a photo (see below), the Wizard and the queen are seen looking at something. She isn’t wearing any of her myriad decorated masks.

Furthermore, the episode description teases that Jack (Gerran Howell) will make a decision that will have deadly consequences.

“Emerald City” Season 1, episode 9 premieres Friday, Feb. 24 at 9 p.m. EST on NBC.
