The 2015 Primetime Emmy Awards was a seriously star-studded event. However, there was one TV mogul notably missing from the sea of red carpet celebrities: Shonda Rhimes.

Rhimes, mastermind behind the beloved ABC dramas “Grey’s Anatomy,” “Scandal” and “How To Get Away With Murder,” explained why she was absent from the 67th annual event on Twitter:

“Am spending #emmys making edit notes of FOUR different episodes (2 #scandal & 2 #GreysAnatomy) - #solidarity!” she tweeted out after Pete Nowalk, writer and co-creator of “HTGAWM” revealed how he was spending his Sunday night.

However, leave it to the multitasking showrunner to find the time to tweet to her millions of followers during her editing session. Rhimes took to the social media platform to share her thoughts throughout the 2015 Emmys, commenting on Regina King’s (first Emmy) win for best supporting actress in a limited series for her role in "American Crime," Kerry Washington and Andy Samberg’s opening skit and Rhimes' love for “Mom” actress Allison Janney, who earned the first trophy of the night for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy series.
