Lucious Lyon
Lucious (Terrence Howard) will consider partnering with a man named Jago (Patrick Mulvey, not pictured) to turn Empire into a global power in Season 2, episode 7 of "Empire." FOX/Chuck Hodes

"Empire" returned from a one week hiatus with a bang last Wednesday on Fox. After being grabbed in episode 5, Hakeem (Bryshere Y. Gray) continued to grow as a character, but more Lyon family drama unfolded and there is now a spy inside of Lyon Dynasty. Will Cookie and Hakeem discover who's after them in episode 7, titled "True Love Never"?

Cookie (Taraji P. Henson) will try to get Lyon Dynasty involved in a huge charity concert that will be broadcast on TV. However, Cookie might have a bigger issue in her hands, but she's not aware of it yet. Her new love interest and concert promoter Laz Delgado (Adam Rodriguez) isn't who he says he is. During their hook up scene at the end of episode 6, it was revealed that Laz has the same longhorn tattoo that was on the backs of the men who took Hakeem.

The promo video reveals that Hakeem already doesn't trust Laz and who knows how Hakeem will react if he gets a glimpse of the tattoo. Laz is also shown in a car talking to one of the guys who grabbed Hakeem, who reminds Laz that he needs to be focusing on business and not Cookie. Laz reassures him that they're going to make 10 times the amount of money they originally asked for in the snatch and grab.

Hakeem has started to shake of his demons of what he experienced when he was kidnapped. Laura (Jamila Velazquez) snapped Hakeem out of his funk on stage and it appears she is going to have a positive impact on the youngest Lyon. Hakeem will look to help push Laura into becoming a star, according to the synopsis.

Lucious (Terrence Howard) will continue to look to make Empire the biggest company in the world when he attempts to build a partnership with a man named Jago (Patrick Mulvey), who is the founder of a streaming company. While Lucious tries to grow the company, Andre (Trai Byers) will have to figure out a way to balance his faith and career at the company. Mimi Whiteman (Marisa Tomei) is also expected to return this week.

Jamal (Jussie Smollett) will continue to work on new music with Lucious, but deep down he really wants to work with Cookie again. The promo video reveals Jamal will sneak Cookie over to produce a new song for him, which Lucious will quickly catch on after hearing the "Cookie sound" in the new track.
