“Cookie (Taraji P. Henson) announces that the number one album for Empire’s 20-For-20 will be a competition between all of the label’s top artists, which gives Jamal (Jussie Smollett) a bold idea for his newest song,” the synopsis for “Bleeding War” says.

In the promo for the Fox series, the artists seemed unhappy about the idea of competing for the number one album, but they are more than willing to battle for the top spot. In the video, Tiana (Serayah) is seen impressing the judges with her voice and dance moves, possibly securing her the win for an album.

Later on, Andre (Trai Byers) is heard encouraging someone to spread the word, that everyone needs to bring their sharpest weapon to the fight because only one will be left standing. As Andre speaks, an artist is seen walking across the stage and punching another musician in the face. Will this musical competition turn into a violent war?
