Taraji P. Henson has been hospitalized. The “Empire” star took to Instagram to share the frightening news with fans, along with a message about her condition.

The 44-year-old actress shared a photo on Instagram of her arm with an IV in it. She did not say much about the cause of her hospitalization, but she let her fans and followers know she felt this was God’s way of telling her, “‘You’re doing too much!’” She apparently heard the message of the big guy upstairs loud and clear. Henson went on to say that there was no need to worry about her, calling herself “one tough cookie,” and adding that she would “be just fine.”

“God has a way of saying, ‘You’re doing too much! SAT [sic] DOWN SOMEWHERE,’” she wrote. “I’m listening Father!!! I am taking several seats!!! Don’t worry y’all. I’m a tough cookie! HA! I will be just fine. My momma and best friends are flying in to check on me. I AM FINE!!!!!!!! Just need to SAT [sic] ALL THE WAY DOWN for a bit #listentoyourbody.”

The official cause of her hospitalization remains unknown. Sources close to the star tell TMZ Henson is suffering from a bad case of food poisoning. She is said to have picked it up sometime after her Monaco trip, which ended Thursday. The source adds that she has not been able to keep down anything since getting off the plane. Henson has not confirmed these rumors.

The actress is currently gearing up to begin filming Season 2 of the hit Fox series “Empire.” On the show, she plays Cookie Lyons, a favorite of the series' dedicated fans. “Empire,” which was renewed for a second season in January, is slated to return to TV on Sept. 23, 2015.
