England released the consumer price index for July, where the index was unchanged following the previous drop of 0.1%, but came higher than the expected drop of 0.1%. In addition, the annual consumer price index expanded to 4.4% from the previous of 4.2% and above the expected estimate of 4.3%
Moreover, the Core consumer price index rose in July by 3.1% from the previous of 2.8% and above the expectations of 3.0%.
On the other hand, the retail price index for July dropped by 0.2% in line with expectations, while the annual RPI index was unchanged at 5.0%. However, the annual RPI excluding mortgages payments eased in July to 5.0% below the expected estimate of 5.1% and in line with the previous.
