“Modern Family” star Eric Stonestreet is just rolling in some of Hollywood’s hottest leading ladies. After splitting with his long-term girlfriend Katherine Torkaz this summer, Stonestreet has become linked to actress Charlize Theron ... but he continues to deny the romance.

Rumors of a new budding relationship between Stonestreet and new mom Theron began after the Daily Mail reported over the weekend that the actress has “fallen for Eric Stonestreet.” Although Stonestreet took to Twitter before the Emmys on Sunday to debunk the rumors, the “relationship” between the two is still a hot topic.

“I wish people would stop spreading rumors that Charlize Theron and I are dating,” Stonestreet tweeted. “It’s starting to make Halle Berry jealous.”

The “Modern Family” star continued his denials about Theron (and kept his Berry joke up) by speaking with E! News’ Ryan Seacrest.

“She was so cold to me this morning when she saw these rumors,” Stonestreet said, referring to Halle Berry. “It was just quiet -- fork and knife on the plate. Halle and I weren’t speaking at all. And I’m like, ‘Halle, listen! It’s just a rumor. It’s not real.’”

Eric Stonestreet is of course joking about his relationship with Halle Berry. The actress is currently engaged to French actor Olivier Martinez, but Charlize Theron, on the other hand, is single.

Stonestreet is curious why he would be linked to Theron, telling Seacrest that he “would love to know.” Despite the Daily Mail claiming that the pair met earlier this year through a mutual friend, and that their friendship eventually blossomed into something more, Stonestreet and his rep continue to be busy on rumor control.

“There is nothing romantic going on between them,” his rep told People Magazine. “He has only met Charlize twice!”

At the Emmys this weekend, Stonestreet stayed low key in the love department by bringing his buddy Paul as his date. “I brought my best friend, Paul, who looks nothing at all like Charlize Theron,” Us magazine reported. “He dared me to audition for the first play I ever did at [Kansas State University],” he told his Twitter followers.

Eric Stonestreet won an Emmy Sunday evening for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series for his role as Cameron on “Modern Family.” Between filming for “Modern Family” and his upcoming stint on season two of “American Horror Story,” it doesn’t appear that Stonestreet has much time to focus on a new relationship.
