Thursday, the Statistics Estonia said in a final report that the trade deficit stood at EEK1.1 billion in February, unrevised from the preliminary report. In January, the trade deficit was EEK1.57 billion.

The decline in foreign trade was mainly influenced by the decrease in demand in the internal markets as well as in the main trade partner markets, the statistical office said.

Total exports at current prices declined 26% annually to EEK 7.9 billion in February, unrevised from the initial report.

At the same time, imports declined 35% to EEK 8.9 billion, revised from 33% fall estimated initially.
