RTTNews - Estonia's trade deficit narrowed to EEK 1.7 billion in April from EEK 3.5 billion deficit in the previous year, the Statistics Estonia said Friday.

The statistical agency slightly revised the deficit from its preliminary estimate of EEK 1.8 billion reported on June 9.

However, the shortfall was slightly bigger compared to a deficit of EEK 1.5 billion recorded in March.

Exports dropped 38% year-on-year to EEK 7.6 billion in April after falling 22% in March, while imports were down 41% to EEK 9.4 billion following a 3.1% contraction in the previous month. The statistical office confirmed its preliminary estimate for both exports and imports.
