MUMBAI (Commodity Online): Plans for the next phase of the European Union's Common Agricultural Policy reform should be outlined before the end of the year, reported Dow Jones Newswires on Tuesday.

Speaking via a recorded message at the National Farmers Union conference in Birmingham, Dacian Ciolos, EU Commissioner for Agriculture, said the blueprint for the future of the CAP post-2013 would be delivered slightly later than planned.

The EU intends to formulate its blueprint via a public debate on the future of the CAP, although it is too early to say how this debate will be framed, said Ciolos.
